This census was carried out only for the Provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta in 1916,
helpfully included details of family members serving in the Canadian Forces, and whether they were in Canada or overseas.

Commonwealth War Grave Commission The Commonwealth War Graves Commission, Maidenhead, Berks.
The CWGC was established by Royal Charter in May 1917. It's task is to ensure that the 1.7 million people, of the British Commonwealth,
who died in the two world wars will never be forgotten. Today they care for cemeteries and memorials at 23,000 locations, in 153 countries.

Griffith's Valuation of Ireland Richard John Griffith, Chairman of the Irish Board of Works, conducted two major valuation surveys.
First, was the townland valuation, which was completed in the 1840s and which took the townland as the
geographical unit of valuation. The second and more extensive, was the tenement survey which valued
individual property separately for the first time and which also valued all buildings in the townland for the first time
This survey included the names of landowners and occupiers of properties.
